Description and Requirements

Scope of Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for working with the Central American operation.

Responsible for ensuring the quality and completeness of customer sample submittals and milestones.

Map carrier requirements, internal test case creation and drive compliance

• Planning of product approval activities

• Ensure that critical issues are addressed prior to launch. Provide regional/carrier input into RRR risk assessment

• Facilitate, as required, Motorola development engineering staff and make sure that team is addressing the prioritized customer issues

• Review all product open issues with the product PIPM. Take action to facilitate any issues that the PIPM has been unable to get satisfactorily addressed by development

• Establish strong inter-personal relationships with customer test management staff

• Provide new carrier test cases to field engineering team

• Responsible for assessing and negotiating product compliance to customer requirements, establishing back end product schedule, and obtaining customer approvals

• Identify new product requirements (network features and technology)

• Keep himself always updated about new technologies, products and telecommunications market

• Work with technical marketing and compliance to identify gaps and compliance

• Features/applications/new technologies demonstration to customers

• Execution of tests of static functionality and personalization of equipment

• Support in validation of faults reported by the operator as well as obtaining logs

• On-site support in the execution of homologation tests (Static and in Movement)

• Filling of technical documentation and specifications for mobile operators

• Collaborate with team members, manager, and other Mobile Devices organizations by participating in scheduled meetings, discuss and facilitate resolution of product issues and provide product feedback as appropriate

• Escape Defect Analysis with Field Test Engineer team

• Quarterly review of Operator Test Cases to see if they are still valid and faithful to their requirements

• Management of the inventory of equipment as well as release with the logistics operator

Position Requirements:

Availability to travel around 3 to 4 times per year.

• One or two years graduated in Electronics or Telecommunications Engineer, or Computer Systems Science.

• SW architecture and process knowledge

• Basic knowledge of IP telecommunications networks, and cellular networks (WiFi, Bluetooth, USB)

Basic knowledge of IP telecommunications networks, cellular networks and wireless technologies (WiFi, Bluetooth, UWB, NFC)

• Basic knowledge of cellular communication technologies (5G, LTE, 3G, 2G)

• Must have spoken and written English (minimum 70% with capabilities for technical conversations)

• Basic usage of cellular equipment and basic knowledge of the Android operating system

• Attention to detail, ability to analyze, research capacity and commitment, ability to organize and multitask, Creativity and negotiations skill

Preferred Qualifications:

• Full knowledge of IP telecommunications networks, and cellular networks (WiFi, Bluetooth, USB)

• Basic knowledge of cellular communication technologies (4G, VoLTE, VoWiFi and others)

• Knowledge of Radiofrequency, antenna theory, signal processing and electromagnetism

• Advanced usage of cellular equipment and knowledge of the Android operating system
