About the Programmable Solutions Group (PSG):

Programmable Solutions Group (PSG) empowers customers to unlock the full potential of data through cutting-edge programmable platforms. Intel Corporation announced its intent to separate its Programmable Solutions Group operations into a standalone business which will be called Altera. This will give PSG the autonomy and flexibility it needs to fully accelerate its growth and more effectively compete in the FPGA industry, which serves a broad array of markets, including the data center, communications, industrial, automotive, aerospace and defense sectors.

In Q4 2023, Intel announced PSG will be reported as a separate business unit beginning on January 1, 2024, with ongoing support from Intel. This position is associated to that standalone business strategy and is expected to fully transition to a standalone company called Altera at some time in the future.

Job Description:

• Manages large, highly visible strategic supplier relations, often with senior leadership/executive contacts to drive value through strategic sourcing decisions and align philosophical business partnership and working model across both companies.

• Develops and implements commodity/category strategy and procurement initiatives to enable long term business growth. Manages contracts, specifications, quality, capacity and HVM support to meet business unit product requirements.

• Creates robust negotiation strategies and cost targeting through understanding of market dynamics, industry benchmarking, and key trends.

• Drives business impact by influencing senior managers to adopt practices that enable execution with consistency. Anticipates business risks and drives mitigating strategies with accuracy, quality, and timeliness of delivery.

• Ensures adherence to policy, educates stakeholders and suppliers on policy compliance, and manages the remediation and resolution of sourcing issues. Identifies opportunities to adapt policy as required to better enable suppliers to meet business needs.

• This position will report to the Strategic Sourcing Director of PSG aka Altera.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study with 7+ years of experience or MBA degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field of study with 4+ years of experience in direct/strategic sourcing.

• Previous manufacturing and direct materials sourcing experience in semiconductor industry.

Working Model

This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
