The S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in Syracuse University is looking for an individual to co-teach BDJ 600 Cross-Platform Writing and BDJ 600 Audio News Reporting during Summer 2024 (Session II). Class meets for six weeks, Monday-Thursday 8:30-12:30pm and 1:30-5:30pm 7/1-8/9 in the Summer 2024 semester (3 credits).

Course description: The two courses are team taught and have overlapping content. One professor will teach the morning section; another professor will teach the afternoon section. These courses cover basic news reporting, writing for broadcast and web, Associated Press style, and radio newscast production. Students cover real news stores on deadline, using state-of-the-art digital audio editing equipment. Daily current event quizzes are also a feature of the course.
