SUNY Upstate Medical University Admissions Coordinator for Student Engagement & Outreach in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary:

As the Admission Coordinator for Student Engagement & Outreach at Upstate Medical University, you will play a vital role in supporting all four colleges within the university by managing written communications and outbound correspondence to students across the entire enrollment funnel. You will coordinate recruitment events and implement effective outreach strategies to engage prospective students. Reporting to the Director of Admissions, you will collaborate closely with the admission team to ensure seamless execution of recruitment efforts and cultivate meaningful connections with prospective students.

Minimum Qualifications:

Master's degree in Marketing, Education, Communications or a related field OR a Bachelor's degree in related field and a minimum of two years experience in admissions, recruitment, event planning, or related areas within higher education required. Strong writing skills are essential for crafting compelling email campaigns, persuasive print materials, engaging website content, and other communications as needed. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-centric approach to engaging prospective students and families. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive decision-making and optimize outreach strategies.

Preferred Qualifications:

Passion for education and a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of student recruitment and outreach efforts preferred. Proficiency in using technology platforms for event management, CRM systems, and social media marketing preferred. Masters degree preferred.

Work Days:

Days with flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed for event coverage.
