Description

The City is seeking a skilled and experienced HR Administrator to join our team. The HR Administrator will provide support to the Human Resources department in various functions, including recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Job duties include but are not limited too;

• Supervises and directs administrative/clerical staff to ensure quality of work and uniformity of message;

• Identifies, creates, implements and/or recommends employee training;

• Recommends/oversees use of technology and upgrades;

• Advises on ways to streamline processes and procedures;

• May assist in the creation, administration and maintenance of policies;

• Conducts regular cross-training within administrative/clerical staff and with other HR divisions, to provide the best possible customer service;

• Performs regular audits of employee records to ensure accuracy and oversees corrections and updates;

• Maintains knowledge of HR best practices and trends, existing and new legislation; and

• Performs related duties as assigned.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in HR administration or related field.

• Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.

• Strong organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
