Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, this Director of Medical Affairs role in Greater China will provide highly strategic medical, scientific, and clinical expertise to internal and external stakeholders to compliantly drive the MA mission and vision in support of embecta’s business goals in China. This position is responsible to conceptualize, develop and implement Medical Affairs strategies across multiple products aligned with the Chief Medical Officer’s overall Medical Affairs strategy, which involves shifting from stable, relatively low-tech products to software-driven, electromechanical medical devices. The role includes support of clinical development programs and clinical trials, developing a regionally tailored publication strategy, developing training and educational programs, providing subject matter expertise cross functionally, liaising with investigators for Investigator Initiated studies, engaging in scientific exchange with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), approving promotional and educational materials, developing continuing medical education and independent medical education programs, mapping consultants and holding advisory board meetings, and triaging medical scientific grant requests. In addition, this highly strategic role will amplify voice of patient and engage with professional and patient advocacy groups. The individual will scout new trends in access, policy, and relevant business development opportunities, conceptualize innovative approaches to market shaping, and deploy digital tools for evidence generation and insights. Additionally, the incumbent may be engaged by the CMO to perform other tasks as needed.
