Northwest Farm Credit Services Accounting Analyst in Rocklin, California

We serve customers in 59 locations throughout the West. We are in search of an Accounting Analyst I or Accounting Analyst ll to join our Controllers department in Rocklin, California. This full-time position reports to the Director, Financial Reporting and is responsible for preparing and ensuring high quality reporting of the organization's financial information. This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule and one-time home office stipend after initial training period. Compensation Information The base salary range for this position is: Level I: $66,000 - $99,000; bonus at target is 8% of salary Level II: $72,000 - $109,000; bonus at target is 10% of salary Job Requirements Assist in the development and monitoring of financial reports for analysis. Create ad hoc reports and analysis as needed. Prepare general ledger journal entries. Contribute to an accurate and timely month-end closing of financial records. Prepare quarterly internal and external financial reporting information. Provide technical guidance and research on accounting matters related to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory guidance; work with others within the organization, as well as external auditors, to ensure proper accounting and reporting methods are followed. Participate in various accounting projects within the department. Assist with the preparation of key spreadsheets and reports for compliance purposes. Perform back-up functions as needed to help ensure adequate segregation of duties and comply with internal controls over financial reporting. Perform all duties and maintain all standards in accordance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in accounting, business or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Generally, requires one or more years' relevant work experience Basic understanding of accounting principles Ability to think critically and facilitate resolution to problems, or escalate appropriately Strong organizational and follow-through skills, performing work accurately with strong attention to detail Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines Ability to analyze data and draw conclusions Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written Preferred Requirements Experience using accounting software systems CPA licensure or candidacy Public accounting experience Benefits Offered by AgWest Medical, dental, and vision insurance Basic term life and AD&D insurance (fully paid for by the company) Paid days off annually: 15 vacation*, 15 sick, 11 holidays and 3 volunteer 401(k) plan (6% match plus 3% employer contribution) Employee Assistance Program Wellness Program Jeans are welcome at work every day at AgWest! *Vacation accrual rates increase with tenure.
