Job Summary

Zachry Construction Corporation is currently recruiting certified crane operators with experience operating Hydraulic Lattice Boom Crawlers as well as Rubber Tire Rough Terrain Pickers. This position requires the ability to work both day and night shifts when needed. Highway, Road, and Bridge experience required.

Essential Functions

  • Operators must also inspect and compare load weights with lifting capacity and load charts to ensure against overload.

  • May assist in cleaning, lubricating, and maintaining mechanisms, such as pulleys, etc.

  • Follow all required company and general safety rules, policies, and guidelines.

  • Perform daily inspections of equipment and report needed repairs.

  • Work with various crews on job site(s) and communicate safely with hand signals.

  • Perform general labor duties as needed.

  • The above-listed duties may require long periods of sitting, walking, and standing.

  • Work rotating day and night shifts as needed.

    Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years experience lifting and placing concrete by bucket, prefabricated bridge beams, precast bridge deck panels, rebar, concrete pipe as well as metal forming components.

  • NCCCO or NCCER certification.

  • Knowledge to inspect cranes and recommend appropriate actions to maintain the crane in good working order.

  • Knowledge and understanding of OSHA requirements in connection with crane operation, including daily inspection log, focus on crane operation, and being able to safely hoist, move, and place materials and objects using appropriate attachments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and task-oriented.

  • Physical ability to perform assigned crane-related tasks: prolonged sitting, walking, standing, and bending.

  • Physical ability to perform assigned tasks (lift, push, and pull 50+ pounds).

  • Pass a drug screen and meet the requirements of the ZCC crane operator physical.
