University of Pennsylvania Research Associate in Molecular and Neural Basis of Psychiatric Disease in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of neuroimmunology, microglial cell biology, flow cytometry of glia, FACS sorting of glia, microglia depletion, microglia transplantation, mouse disease models including lysosomal storage and epilepsy models, and writing of manuscripts and grant proposals on these topics. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include performing, supporting, and managing research in neuroimmunology in the Bennett lab.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to work closely with faculty, staff and trainees in the Bennett lab without managing faculty-level responsibilities.
