Position: Community Music & Arts Coordinator Location/Dept.: The Salvation Army Kroc Center (SAKC), Philadelphia, PA Availability: Immediate Schedule: Full Time - Must be available to participate and attend all applicable music and arts concerts, including evenings and weekends. Reporting Relationship: Performing Arts Manager Grade:76 Salary: $18.94

Responsibilities

Position Description: The Community Music and Arts Coordinator plans and provides music and arts instruction to members of the Kroc Center under the direction and in coordination with the Performing Arts Manager (PAM), and, at times, coordinates with community musical and arts partners, as well as other music and arts opportunities throughout the Kroc Center. Provide instruction as needed within the Kroc’s music and arts program. Assist the PAM with the day-to-day program functions of the current and forthcoming programs such as, but not limited to: the Let’s Play! Youth Orchestra, The Philly Kroc Jazz Orchestra, the wind ensemble, etc. Assist the PAM with planning and implementing new Performing Arts programs dependent on the demands of the Kroc Community, keeping mind budgets (revenue and expense). As scheduled, assist Members Services with the promotion and explanation of Performing Arts programming and opportunities.
