Salary Range: $25.34 - $26.81

Position Summary

Performs non-interpretive tasks in order to allow radiologists throughout the department to focus on their primary interpretive and clinical tasks.

Job Responsibilities

  • Connect radiologists to technologists, front desk staff, patients, IT support and providers on a case-by-case basis to ensure timely communication.

  • Facilitate communication between radiologists and ordering providers in relaying results to patient care teams as quickly as possible.

  • Connect patients experiencing post-biopsy and post-exam reactions with appropriate nursing teams.

  • Collaborate with front desk staff in requesting protocols, clarifying orders and stat reads.

  • Manage incoming emails requesting same-day reads, re-interpretations and notifying appropriate radiologists.

Education

  • High School Diploma

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related is preferred.

  • Approximately two years of experience coordinating projects or programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite and database applications.

  • Familiar with Internet applications.

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Advanced interpersonal skills

  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, with a close attention to detail

  • Ability to project/program manage and to multi task while paying attention to details.
