Televisa-Univision is looking for a Digital Journalist for the News team with the capacity to produce and edit content for all multimedia and social platforms. It is important to have experience in the world of digital news and support the strategic vision of the company through content in various formats (articles, images, videos, audio) that offer news and service information to the various Latino audiences in the United States.

She/he must know the behavior and trend of digital communities to focus on audience growth through the generation and distribution of news content for specific markets.

She/he must be able to work with multiple publishers and digital teams spread across multiple cities. It is important to work closely with regional publishers to optimize their content and establish workflows that help in the production, programming and distribution of information in various formats (video, text, photo gallery) between the national and local coverage areas.

ABOUT YOU:­­­

You are excited about creating content for different audiences and about different topics. You like the idea of giving voice for those who don’t have it. No challenge is too large because you are accustomed to working generating content for local audiences about different topics.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

• Identify and generate informative and news content for the various digital platforms of Univision Noticias according to the interest of the audiences, applying exhaustive editorial care and with the technical skills required for the best performance of its production (SEO, headlines, Push Notifications, etc.)

• Obtain information in various formats from members of the newsroom where events occur to produce stories throughout the day

• Create and distribute content in daily basis managing all the new digital and social media narratives

• Will lead breaking news coverage (Breaking News) on digital platforms and distribution media such as social networks and the Univision APP.

• Must plan and execute special projects designed to strengthen audience growth according to the corporate KPI’s of video views (O&O, Youtube, Social platforms) and page views to support the business

• Respond professionally under pressure and organize the linear newsroom to have content generated by local reporters, photographers and producers that can be extended to digital platforms

YOU HAVE:

• Five years of experience producing digital content

• Mastery of digital narrative and its evolution both in writing and on video in Spanish

• Ability to read and translate texts and conversations from interviews or press conferences from English into Spanish

• Understanding and experience diverse sources of traffic: App push notifications, social media, SEO

• Direct experience with a digital publishing system (Content Management System, CMS), social account management tools and trend and keyword search engines, recommended

• Ability to review numerical reports in making editorial decisions for programming, titling and distribution (Chartbeat, Crowdtangle, Google Analytics, Social bakers, etc)
