You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control measures, conduct inspections and audits, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional quality products. Here you will make an impact by:Develop and implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to establish quality objectives and metrics.Conduct inspections and audits to assess product quality, process efficiency, and adherence to quality standards.Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and areas for improvement.Develop and maintain quality documentation, including quality plans, procedures, and work instructions.Participate in the development and implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues and prevent recurrence.Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming materials and components.Conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate their quality management systems and capabilities.Provide training and guidance to employees on quality control processes and procedures.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of a culture of quality excellence.Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in quality engineering to drive innovation and best practices.Your Skills and ExpertiseTo set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelors degree in engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institutionThree (3) years of quality engineering experience in a private, public, government or military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Three (3 ) years of experience in manufacturingAdvanced experience in a quality function in manufacturing/production plantStrong knowledge of quality control principles, methodologies, and toolsExperience with quality management systems, such as ISO 9001Proficient in statistical analysis tools and techniques, such as Six Sigma and statistical process controlExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsDetail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and qualityStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyContinuous improvement mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality productsWork Location:Plant/Facility: Various Locations within the USTravel: May include up to 10% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be lega ly authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life both physically and financially.
