Robert Half Grants Manager in Los Angeles, California

Description

We are offering a contract employment opportunity in the non-profit industry located in Los Angeles, California, for a Grants Manager role. This position entails overseeing the complete grant lifecycle, ensuring compliance with the Uniform Guidance and Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards (SEFA) requirements, and collaborating with various teams to align grant activities with organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire grant lifecycle from proposal submission to grant closeout

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive grants calendar to track deadlines, reporting requirements, and key milestones

• Coordinate with program and finance teams to ensure alignment of grant activities with organizational goals and compliance requirements

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including the Uniform Guidance and SEFA requirements

• Prepare and submit accurate and timely financial and programmatic reports to grantors

• Conduct regular internal audits and reviews to ensure adherence to grant terms and conditions

• Work closely with the finance team to manage grant budgets, track expenditures, and ensure proper allocation of funds

• Monitor and report on grant financial performance, identifying and addressing any variances

• Serve as the primary point of contact for grantors, maintaining strong and positive relationships

• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate effective grant implementation and reporting

• Provide training and support to program staff on grant management best practices and compliance requirements

• Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance the organization's grant management capacity.

Requirements

• Proficiency in using Accounting Software Systems is required.

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is needed.

• Ability to perform Accounting Functions is essential.

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations is expected.

• Prior experience in Auditing is desirable.

• Ability to handle Billing Functions is necessary.

• Expertise in Budget Processes is required.

• Familiarity with Grant Administration processes is crucial.

• Proven experience in Grant Management is needed.

• Knowledge of Post-grant procedures is beneficial.

• Proficiency in Grant Accounting is essential.

• Experience with NetSuite software is preferred.
