We are looking for someone passionate about crafting, developing, and deploying new capabilities to support reliable product supply for our growing base of patients, eye-care professionals, and channel partners. This individual will lead initiatives to enhance and elevate our reliability performance while accelerating our efforts to advance a culture of reliability and proactive risk management across our end-to-end supply chain.

The Strategic Reliability Director will report to the Vice President, E2E Supply Chain Leader for J&J Vision Care partnership with key end to end and functional business leaders, supporting and enhancing our current processes, governances and tools with the ultimate goal of improving customer service rapidly.

Key Role Responsibilities:

This senior leader will not only lead reliability strategy for the E2E Supply chain but will drive reliability across entire E2E business engaging with commercial, finance, and R&D leaders. As the Strategic Reliability Leader, you will strengthen and institutionalize Supply Chain Reliability by leading:

  • The facilitation of weekly and monthly Supply Reliability Reviews with senior leaders

  • The identification of relevant insights from Reliability Failure modes to drive actions based on trends and themes

  • Improve customer reliability through agile team prioritization and implementation.

  • The transformation of our risk management culture by shifting to a proactive approach

  • The evolution of our of a data and analytics framework to enable E2E views with behavior-influencing metrics

  • Develop reliability operating model and prioritization processes for all supply chain functions

This person will drive continuous E2E reliability capability advancements by the standardization of processes & systems. Benchmarking with internal and external business to identify and implement standard processes as well as defining & leading projects to improve business insights and reliability process maturity. This role will have overall accountability for core processes of supply reliability, including:

  • Acting as change champion to ensure process adoption!

  • Leading teams to implement groundbreaking improvement initiatives and major programs by Identifying and deploying programs that improve customer trust.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • College degree or equivalent in the Sciences or an Engineering field. MBA/Master’s degree preferred Required

  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant business experience, with at least 3 years of people management experience is required

  • Previous experience working in an FDA regulated environment within the Healthcare Industry (i.e. Consumer, Medical Device, Pharmaceutical, etc.) is required

  • Proven leadership, including ability to connect with all levels of the organization are required

  • Must be able to build relationships and influence other partners and management

  • Strong background in Process Excellence, Six Sigma, Lean methodologies or operational excellence.

  • Strong financial, analytical, and the leadership skills, along with excellent written and verbal communication abilities are crucial!

  • Experience improving processes while delivering results successfully by influencing partners in a global scale

Preferred Skills:

  • Consistent track record of leading organizations through change and continuous improvement

  • Ability to work in ambiguity within a complex environment is preferred

  • Experience in relationship development, conflict resolution, team building and customer centric approach is preferred

Other:

  • This position may require up to 25% travel, both domestic and international
