The Emergency Services DEPARTMENT at Dignity Health Chandler Regional Medical Center (CRMC) is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. As an Emergency Services Charge Nurse, you will provide oversight of the activities on a nursing unit during a specific shift including serving as a resource to staff, directing patient flow, assuring appropriate utilization of resources, and providing

oversight for the provision of quality care in a manner satisfying to patients.

Every day in emergency nursing brings a unique set of challenges. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly, prioritizing patients based on their medical necessity while providing emergency triage to others. As part of our ER team, you’ll partner with an experienced clinical team to deliver stabilizing care to our patients, performing tasks such as IV starts, foley catheter insertions, or aiding providers with chest tube insertions.

To excel as an ER nurse, you should embody teamwork, professionalism, and critical thinking skills. Your willingness to take on additional projects, such as patient experience initiatives, is highly valued. Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a resource to staff on clinical care

  • Coordinates patient flow on the unit to facilitate the provision of timely and effective care

  • Responds to clinical emergencies

  • Performs routine Environment of Care rounds and facilitates resolution of issues

Dignity Health now offers an Education Benefit program for benefit-eligible employees after 180 days. This program provides debt relief and student loan assistance to help you achieve your goals. Full-time employees can receive up to $18,000 over five years, while part-time employees can receive up to $9,000.

Qualifications

Minimum:

Experience:

  • Two (2) years RN experience within applicable clinical specialty

  • Preferred: Charge Nurse experience

Education:

  • ADN Diploma or foreign equivalent

  • Preferred: BSN

Licensure:

  • Current AZ State RN License

  • Current American Heart Association BLS healthcare provider card

  • American Heart Association ACLS card must be obtained within 6 months of hire

Pay Range

$42.85 - $63.77 /hour
