Delaware North Senior Accountant, Record to Report in Buffalo, New York

The Opportunity

Delaware North is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our Record to Report (R2R) team within our Global Business Solutions (GBS) team. As a Senior R2R Accountant, you will play an active role in our new GBS Finance and Accounting model and you'll provide support to our operating units and managed service provider. You'll also be responsible for promoting compliance, consistency, standardization, and automation of all GBS policies and practices.

This role will be hybrid, based out of our Buffalo NY headquarters.

Pay

Minimum – Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $58458 - $76800 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range. Responsibilities

  • Promoting compliance of all R2R policies and service level agreements (SLA's) with operating units.

  • Driving process improvements within RTR, reducing manual journals and days to complete reconciliations.

  • Act as a change agent in the roll-out and delivery of our new operating model.

  • Ensure the responsibilities of our managed service provider are being met.

  • Complete and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and other various ad-hoc items for sufficient supporting documentation.

  • Issue project updates and required deliverables to senior management and other stakeholders, as needed.

  • Traditional month-end processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field, MBA a plus.

  • 4-6 years' of experience.

  • CPA is a plus, but not required.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels throughout the organization.

  • Establish and support a culture of continuous improvement at all levels of the organization.

  • Ability to perform ad hoc analytics using various tools and techniques.

  • Proficient ability to make quantitative and qualitative assessments of data, and work in a fast-paced, continuously changing, environment.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization.
