Descriptive Title:Coordinator for Diversity and Equity Initiatives

Full-time, Monday - Friday, 9:00AM to 5:00 PM, 37.5 hours per week

Description of Duties:

-Assist in developing and coordinating new diversity and equity focused educational programs for Downstate students, staff, faculty, and the surrounding community. -Assist with managing the budget and corresponding with funders. -Assist with designing and conducting program evaluation surveys related to advancing diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging. -Assist with program related data collection, analysis, and reporting to funders. -Assist in the preparation of materials for institutional, local, and national meetings and presentations. -Establish new partnerships and collaborations to support community-based education and outreach programs. -Attend institutional, local, and national meetings related to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. -Perform administrative and other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED Bacelor's degree. Must have excellent writing and communications skills and the ability to execute and coordinate multiple diversity and equity-focused education and research training programs. Must have excellent interpersonal skills. Must have prior experience in conducting diversity education or health equity focused research. Prior experience in grants or contract management is preferred. Program coordination or program management experience is necessary. PREFERRED Master's degree. Applicant should have an interest in health equity, diversity, and health disparities related education, research, and training. Skilled in operations or project management required, including purchasing, accounts payable, budget reconciliation and budget management, proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in working with statistical and data analysis software preferred.
