AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

Amazon Web Services came to China in 2013, and has been relentlessly investing and expanding our infrastructure and business since then. Amazon Web Services launched its China (Beijing) Region (operated by Sinnet) in September 2016 and its China (Ningxia) Region (operated by NWCD) in December 2017. In 2019, Amazon Web Services added a new region in Hong Kong, making China the only country with three Amazon Web Services regions aside from the U.S. In 2022, Amazon Web Services launched Local Zone in Taipei. Amazon Web Services has also established an AI lab in Shanghai and two IoT labs in Shenzhen and Taipei. The Amazon Web Services Partner Network has thousands of Partners in China. Amazon Web Services has supported over 10,000 local startups and has provided cloud skills training to over 700,000 talents. AWS is seeking a Specialist BD for AI/ML/GenAI. The Specialist BD will be responsible for defining, building and deploying effective and targeted programs to accelerate broad based sales and business development activities. The Specialist BD will be responsible for the promotion of AI/ML/GenAI products in territory, and work closely across multiple internal and external organizations – AWS Field team, Marketing, Partners, and AI communities – to promote AWS AI/ML/GenAI products for customers and partners. The Specialist BD will be directly helping customers to reinvent their own business models by harnessing the power of AWS AI/ML/GenAI solution and products, and finally deliver result.

In addition, the Specialist BD will synthesize data and information gathered from these engagements into succinct findings, derive strategic insights, and persuasively communicate findings and perspectives to product and sales teams, including senior leadership. The Specialist BD will work with business development, sales and solution architecture teams to track, prioritize and close customer engagements that would benefit from the AWS AI/ML/GenAI services, and collaborate and coordinate cross-functional teams around these engagements where appropriate.

Key job responsibilities

Engage in Senior-level customer meetings to drive AWS AI/ML/GenAI adoption. Diving into customer’s business challenges and executing strategies on how the AWS AI/ML/GenAI services can help address and resolve these challenges.

Serve as an evangelist for the AWS AI/ML/GenAI products within AWS and externally.

Define, build and deploy enterprise focused sales and business development campaigns around the AWS AI/ML/GenAI offering.

-Engage, support and scale business development and sales teams across AWS to be capable of delivering the AWS AI/ML/GenAI value proposition to customers and partners.

Develop a standard market intelligence framework and dynamic analytic model to be utilized by the AWS Sales, Business Development and Marketing teams.

Bring the various stakeholders together to help build collective mindshare in augmenting the AWS AI/ML/GenAI products.

Establish mechanisms to measure and track metrics related to adoption of the AWS AI/ML/GenAI products, and execute improvements to the approach based on those measurements.

Prepare and deliver business reviews to the senior management regarding the AWS AI/ML/GenAI business.

Basic Qualifications

8+ years of customer-oriented experience, including enterprise sales, pre-sales, or solution architect experience.

3+ years of AI/ML/GenAI, or other related technology or product background.

Knowledge of cloud, big data, and machine learning, with technical selling experience.

Preferred Qualifications

1) Experience with artificial intelligence or machine learning product selling. 2) Knowledge of machine learning trends, typical scenarios, and common algorithms . 3) Experience with one or more general purpose programming languages - Knowledge of AI/ML/GneAI services, such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. 4) Solid negotiation skills, and business and financial acumen. 5) Strong analytical skills, and demonstrated ability to turn detailed data analysis into useful strategic insight in order to drive customer adoption and make appropriate recommendations to the business. 6) Experience with, and detailed knowledge of managed services market and insights related to cloud computing. 7) Demonstrated ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations is key. 8) Experience writing articles (business and technical), speaking at technology conferences, or contributing to open source.
