Systems engineering is a cross-functional engineering discipline centered on an approach, mindset, and process. All activities that consider both the business and the technical needs of the customers with the goal of providing a quality product that meets the users needs. The discipline that executes a robust process of design, creation, and optimization of systems, consisting of identification and quantification of system requirements, creation of alternate system design concepts, performance of design trade studies, selection and implementation of the best designs and verification that the design is properly integrated and executed. Process that proceeds from concept to production to operation.

Impacts departmental operations and responsible for planning/execution. The role has some autonomy but is focused on execution of activities within an operating discipline covered by standard functional practices and procedures. Some judgment may be required but this is typically with guidance.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Working across functions and team boundaries to define, design, and implement the next generation of products

• Drive VCP program execution, make sure VCP projects deliver on time in target

• Planning resources and materials for timely VCP program execution

• Providing domain expertise to serve as the main integrator between the hardware and software functions to deliver high quality systems

• Working with customers, marketing and field personnel to refine requirements which can be follow by the engineering teams

• Developing methods to quantify subsystem interactions and their effects on system feature and performance.

• Delivering and incorporating feedback results into new hardware, software, and service specifications

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above major in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline

• Bachelor 5+ years, Master 2+ years working experience in R&D.

• Broad exposure to HW/SW/Systems design, and good technical depth in one or more engineering disciplines (Electrical, Image Processing, Software, etc)

• Proven ability to develop timely and effective solutions for challenging design problems

• Excellent teamwork, coordination and very good communication skills

Desired Characteristics

• Product design experience in medical devices, especially in X-ray, CT, DSA product

• Effective oral and written English communication skills, global project experience will be plus

• Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task

• Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities

• Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills
